Can you imagine if we could keep our focus so that every physical and mental resource was centered on God? Imagine the power to solve problems; to follow through with intelligent planning and excellent execution of these plans.

Click on this piano piece: In The Garden: Norm Hastings, Piano. While listening, take a look at Nehemiah 9:16-38 and reflect on the lesson God is teaching? Think about what you may pray for today. Is there a plan of action God is giving you today? The lesson for me as I think about today’s reading is that in good times or bad times, we need to continue the steady course of paying attention to God’s principles and applying them in our life.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry at his church and runs the 10:50 worship service computer. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. You’re invited to join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.

  2. nice piano music Mark…..what I get from your words and those in the scripture…is that no matter what we are going through, God is always faithful to us…it’s never that he is the one that leaves us…but rather, we are always the ones who always leave him….then we cry over being lost in the wilderness…..but it’s not for lack of instruction – ever!
