His Love Lifts Up

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Waco Texas was held Saturday into Sunday morning at the Baylor Hart-Patterson Track. I have been a participant for each year since 2006.

It was a tough year for me in 2006 as I lost my mom and a life-long family friend to cancer that year. It is during difficult times that God’s love can lift you up like this video affirms: Lift Me Up – The Afters.

Relay for life started at Tacoma Washington in 1985 and is the largest not-for-profit event in the world.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry at his church and runs the 10:50 worship service computer. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. You’re invited to join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.

The picture on the video reminds me of what happened several months ago, and last night. This is from several months ago, http://lynleahz.com/2012/06/24/awesome-sign-in-the-sky/ and then last night, I went outside..it was nearly 2 a.m. and I was staring up at the sky praying. Not the clouds, but the dark sky in between the clouds formed the shape of a perfect cross, and…there was a big letter S in the middle top of it where the cross ‘crosses.’ I know this has nothing to do with your aricle..but like I said, the cloud photo on the video reminded me of that. God bless you!

  2. The Lord bless you brother Mark, May I let you know that I have a new blog on http://www.imagebreakers.com Praying for you my friend.
