The Offer Remains Until the End

God will continue to offer eternal salvation up until the end but no one knows when the end will be. John continues to give us his vision of the end in Revelation 16, there is an expansion of the seventh trumpet judgment as the seven angels pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.

The seven bowls of God’s wrath
The people who had the mark of the beast developed painful sores (v. 2)
Sea turns to blood and everything in the sea dies (v. 3)
Rivers become blood (v. 4)
The sun becomes scorching hot (v. 8)
Darkness and so much agony they gnawed their tongues (v. 10)
Euphrates River dries up (v. 12)
Thunder, earthquakes and hail (v. 18)

When John explains about the sixth angel pouring out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, demonic spirits that looked like frogs came out of the mouth of the dragon, the mouth of the beast, and the mouth of the false prophet (v. 13). Their goal is to gather the kings of the whole world at Armageddon for the battle on the great day of God Almighty (v. 14).

The people respond by cursing God instead of repenting and asking for help. Instead of listening to God’s messages and making the needed changes, the vision tells that they will continue to blame Him for their situation. The Good News is that God will continue to offer the chance for people to repent and change up until the end. That is why it’s important that each day, we take the opportunity to share with others about who God is and who each person can be, an important name in history – one of His children

Our purpose as we get closer to the time of the second coming when Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, will suddenly come again to judge the world is to share with others and provide the means for them to accept Him as their Lord.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
