The Week Ahead – Acts 23

This week, we will be sharing some thoughts from the study of Acts 23.

Below are some questions for reflection

Acts 23:1-11
How do the Pharisees and Sadducees differ theologically? What special encouragement does God give Paul at this time? In what times of need have you been encouraged by God?

Acts 23:12-35
How does God rescue Paul from the guerrilla attempt to kill him? What does this incident reveal about God’s work in the world? What is the basis of your confidence amidst turmoil and unrest?

Paul faced many enemies and in current times, we face enemies too. Here is a video to inspire the courage to take on these enemies: Voice of Truth – Casting Crowns.

About Mark Shields

Mark volunteers as a member of the media ministry team at his church. A few years ago, he started an on-line Bible study guide called “This Day with God Devotional”. He uses this as a tool in his journey through the Bible. We live in a very busy world with busy schedules so this tool has helped him continue with daily Bible reading and study. Each of the studies are designed to help apply our faith in the work place, at school, or at home. Join him on this journey or check in every so often to read his thoughts.
